A Random ID With No Meaning Outside LineUp
When you use the site, a cookie is stored on your computer or phone. It gives your browser or device a unique number that means nothing outside LineUp. The site may also use your IP address to recognise you, run the website and find server problems.
Staying Logged In and Saved Settings
The most practical job of cookies is saving you from typing the same thing twice. After you enter your email and password, the site remembers them for the rest of that session. If you agree to it, this can extend to automatic login on later visits. Cookies also keep your language setting and help show content that matches what you play.
Activity Data for Analytics and Personal Offers
Cookies feed the activity data LineUp keeps on each account: analytics, pages viewed on the site, time spent on them, clicks, favourite games and bet types. Online identifiers such as the IP address and browser details also support marketing, where the player has agreed to it.
Home Screen Shortcut and Files Kept Offline
LineUp works as a web app (PWA). When you add it to the home screen on iPhone or Android, the browser keeps a manifest file and a service worker on the device, so the site opens in its own window like an app.
Blocking, Deleting and Do Not Track Signals
Most browsers accept cookies automatically. You can change this in the browser or device settings, but blocking cookies can switch off some features, such as staying logged in. LineUp does not respond to Do Not Track signals from browsers, as there is no agreed standard for them yet.
